Framingham Makerspace has a variety of machines and facilities that are available to members. Interested users must both sign up for the appropriate membership AND be certified in its use before they will be allowed to use a particular piece of equipment. At this time, only premium members are allowed to use all available equipment.  Basic members ($30/month) are limited to hand tools only.

To use our tools independently you must demonstrate competent and safe use of the equipment to one of our trained instructors or take one of our training sessions or classes.

Training: If you’re looking for a quick introduction or refresher on the basic operations of a tool, you should attend a Tool Training session. Tools are grouped into categories to make it easy for you to get everything you need in one or two sessions. Tool trainings will be scheduled by request, as well as scheduled regularly. Contact us or check out the upcoming events section to find the next training course.

Certification Testing: If you already have training on a piece of equipment and just need to be checked off to use it at the Makerspace, sign up for one of our free testing sessions. Testing is also required as followup for some training classes before students can use the equipment unsupervised. Contact us to arrange and appointment.

Classes: To learn how to use the tools at anything other than an introductory level, please take a look at our classes, workshops, and series.
